Operated my own business on and off since 1970. Have shifted my career focus from Building Technology to Marketing... currently enrolled in 3rd year of 3 year diploma program at UBC in Marketing & Sales Management. Have raised a family, with Melisa attending 3rd year at UBC (Human Kinetics); Kevin graduating from Grade 12 this year. Both great kids! Marika and I celebrated our 24th anniversary this year... 2000 will be our 25th! Volunteer work has had a lot to do with fly fishing... as Editor for the BC Federation of Fly Fishers (5+ years); currently Trout Unlimited Canada - British Columbia as Marketing Director for the past 2 years. Life is generally very busy (of late) but it is good!

Other Comments The photo above is moi with a beautiful, fly caught coho taken and released on Cat Face Flats, near Tofino, Vancouver Island. It was a great trip with my son, Kevin, one of his angling buddies and his dad, mid-September this year (1999).

Guess you could say I got the 'bug' in 1980 and it's my favoured leisure activity... all year. Fly fishing also lead to my volunteer focus and efforts with the BC Federation of Fly Fishers (1989 - 1994 and on-going, but in a reduced capacity) and Trout Unlimited Canada - BC Council as Marketing Director for the past 2 years.

The 'bug' also rubbed off on Kevin some years ago; he got totally into it. His enthusiasm for the sport and considerable skill acquired over the past 9 years lead to a trip to Wales (for the both of us) when Kevin was selected as a member on the Youth Fly Fishing Team Canada. He was fortunate again this year to be selected to represent Canada... the championships were in Ireland.

So-o-o-o... being into fly fishing pays some great dividends!

Attending both Friday and Saturday night events.
